The name “poster” has more to do with an item’s purpose than its size.
People often refer to prints as small as 8.5×11 as posters if their intent is to hang the print up somewhere to advertise an event. The good news is, we can print posters as small as 8.5×11 and as big as 36×108. We can print even bigger than that if what you need is a sign on Corex, Foam Core, or another sturdy substrate.
Here’s a cost breakdown for some common sizes of posters printed on card stock:
We recommend using foam core if you need your poster to stand up on an easel without sagging. Foam core is .25” thick and has a smooth finish. It is best for indoor use because it is not weather resistant. Here’s a cost breakdown for some common sizes of posters printed on foam core (minimum order is $10):
We can weatherproof your card stock poster by laminating it. Laminating your poster will add between $2.00 and $4.40 to its cost, depending on its size up to 24×36. Please call us for a custom quote.
Another way of creating a weatherproof poster or sign for use out of doors is to print it on Corex instead of on card stock. Corex is a corrugated plastic material (like cardboard made from plastic) and is the most common material used for yard signs. Corex signs/posters are the same price as foam core posters.
